my story
After years in the NHS, I felt frustrated by the time limits and long waiting lists that kept me from giving patients the care they truly needed. I wanted more freedom to listen, to dig deeper, and to help people sooner. Moving into freelance practice alongside my NHS job means I can reach more people, share my message widely, and give each person the time and support they deserve. This work fills me with purpose as there’s nothing more fulfilling than helping someone transform their gut health and reclaim the life they love.

Since graduating from the University of Chester in 2013, I’ve worked across hospitals in the North West of England, specialising in gastroenterology-a field that fascinates me with its complexity and variety.
The digestive system involves multiple organs (the mouth, oesophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, and intestines) working together in synergy, and dietitians are uniquely qualified to assess and manage nutrition-related issues within this intricate system. As part of the gastroenterology team, I help interpret blood tests, advise on medications, and translate complex investigation results into personalised nutrition strategies.
As a specialist, I provide evidence-based guidance tailored to your unique needs, always prioritising your health and safety. My goal is to educate and empower you, so you can make informed decisions about your wellbeing and confidently live your best life. You don’t need to spend months or years reading research papers, taking courses, or earning a degree to solve your nutrition challenges—I’ve done that work for you and can give you clear, practical advice to apply to your life.
I’m also deeply inspired by the power of the mind. That’s why I’m currently studying clinical hypnotherapy at the University of Birmingham. Gut-directed hypnotherapy can help restore the brain-gut connection in conditions where miscommunication occurs, meaning that soon I’ll be able to combine dietary and lifestyle support with mind-gut healing techniques to offer a truly holistic approach to digestive health.
