Why Choose This Package?

Whether you’re living with IBD, liver or pancreatic disease, bile acid diarrhoea, gastroparesis, food intolerances, or just feeling lost in the sea of conflicting nutrition advice, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

NHS support can mean long waits and rushed consultations, leaving you without the clarity you need.

At The Mindful Gut Dietitian, I provide compassionate, evidence-based, and personalised nutrition advice to help you ease symptoms, nourish your gut, and feel more in control of your health.

Before we even meet, you’ll complete a detailed questionnaire and food diary so I already understand your history and symptoms. That way, our time together is focused on you pinpointing causes and creating practical solutions.

The result? Clear answers and a tailored plan from day one without the waiting lists or generic advice.

Have you been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Liver Disease, Pancreatic Disease, Bile Acid Diarrhoea, or Gastroparesis and feel unsure about which foods truly support your gut? Or, maybe you’re struggling with food intolerances, concerned about your general gut health, or feeling confused by the endless and often conflicting nutrition advice online.

Support for gut health through the NHS can be a postcode lottery, often means facing long waiting lists and very short consultation times. That can leave you feeling stuck and without the clear answers you deserve.

At The Mindful Gut Dietitian, we know how overwhelming and exhausting gut symptoms can be. That’s why we offer compassionate, evidence-based, and personalised nutrition support to help you nourish your gut, ease discomfort, and feel more in control of your health.

My programme is different. Before your first appointment, you’ll complete a detailed questionnaire and food diary. This means I already have a full picture of your symptoms, history, and lifestyle so we can use our time together to focus on you, not on filling in background details. Instead of rushing, we dive straight into discussing the issues and creating practical, personalised solutions.

The result? You get clarity and an actionable plan from day one, without the months of waiting or the frustration of short, generic appointments.

Questions? I have answers!

Do I need to prepare anything before my initial consultation?

Yes, you will need to complete the pre-appointment questionnaire and symptom questionnaire at least 48hrs before the appointment, otherwise your appointment may need to be rescheduled. This is to ensure the I have sufficient time to prepare for your consultation and that the time together is spent asking less questions and giving you as much information as possible so you can get the most out of the consultation.

Do I need to complete any tests prior to the consultation?

You do not need to have any tests done before your initial consultation. I will only recommend blood, breath, stool or other tests if they are indicated and valid. I can coordinate this either via your GP or your referring doctor.

Sometimes I recommend a referral to a gastroenterologist or other healthcare professional for further investigation or treatment. This can be arranged privately or via a letter to your GP if within the NHS.

Do you offer testing (such as microbiome testing)?

I understand there are many stool and microbiome testing kits on the market that claim to offer clear diagnoses and personalised dietary advice. However, the current scientific evidence supporting these tests is still limited. At this time, the commercially available options do not reliably translate into practical or clinically useful recommendations.

I'm happy to discuss these further with you during your consultation if you're interested. My priority is to ensure you receive accurate, evidence-based guidance without unnecessary or costly testing. I focus on clinically proven approaches that can more effectively inform your personalised care plan.

Do you accept health insurance?

At present I do not accept health insurance but this may change, so please check again in the future.

Do I need a referral to see you?

No, you do not need a referral from another healthcare professional to access my services. However, I do accept referrals from other healthcare professionals e.g. Medical Doctors, Dietitians, Nurses, Physiotherapists etc.

Can I get follow-up support after finishing a programme?

Yes, we can book in extra appointments at a discount if ongoing support is required. This will be tailored to your personal needs.

What if I book and change my mind or can’t make the appointment?

Life happens, and I completely understand that sometimes you may need to change your appointment. If you let me know at least 48 hours in advance, there’s no fee, and I’ll do my best to find an alternative date and time that works for you.

-24–48 hours’ notice: 50% of the appointment fee will apply.

-Less than 24 hours’ notice or non-attendance: the full appointment fee will apply.

If you arrive late, the session will still need to finish at the original end time. If you’re more than 15 minutes late, this may be treated as a non-attendance depending on the planned appointment duration.

For clients joining from overseas, please remember that all appointments are scheduled in UK time, so double-check the local time your side.

You’ll also need to complete and sign the consent form sent to you before the session. If this hasn’t been done at least 24 hours before your appointment, it may need to be cancelled.

Finally, please note there is a 14-day cooling-off period from the time of booking. This doesn’t apply if your appointment has already taken place within that time.

What is the difference between a Nutritionist and a Dietitian?

A Dietitian is a regulated healthcare professional who is legally recognised and must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK. Dietitians are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat dietary and nutritional problems including complex medical conditions like IBS, IBD, coeliac disease, and pancreatic or liver disorders.

A Nutritionist is not a protected title in the UK, meaning anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, regardless of their training. Some nutritionists are highly qualified, but not all have clinical training or work within medical settings.

A Dietitian may refer to themselves as both a Dietitian and Nutritionist but a Nutritionist is not allowed to refer to themselves as a Dietitian.

If you want support for gut health or a diagnosed medical condition, seeing a Registered Dietitian ensures you’re receiving evidence-based, safe, and personalised advice.

Are there discounts for packages?

Our packages are designed to save you money - you’ll pay less than if you booked appointments separately.
